Work-In-Progress

I have this lovely mid-century mahogany arm chair. It needed a good polish up and some new sponges.

BEFORE

A while ago I whipped up some replacement cushions for a similar arm chair for a home-stage. The owner wanted to keep the original upholstery for their new house, so we just made some new sponges temporarily. After the house sold she gave me back the cushions to use on another project some time.

Sooooo..... I might dig them out of storage in the weekend to see if they fit! It wasn't the best sewing job in the world, but it looked really good. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

In the meantime, I have stripped off all the cushions (they were not original to this chair anyway), washed the whole thing and gave it a re-polish. Much better!!
