Lovely Dining Chair

I love seeing before and afters of dining chairs, but to paint them is VERY time consuming. Of particular frustration are spindle back or rail back chairs. Very fiddly for using a paint brush. I have a paint sprayer/compressor however I find hand painting gives a more organic feel to the pieces. So I persevere. :)

This chair below had an upholstered back and seat so less to paint!

After painting the chair a soft white I distressed the edges to create that aged feel. The hexagon tapered legs were calling out for that. The fabric is gorgeous and beautiful quality too. I brought a few meters of it at the Shanghai Textile Markets whilst I was there on holiday recently.
